The first batch of Indian players, led by captain Rohit Sharma, has arrived in New York for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Rohit was accompanied by a 10-member squad, but team vice-captain Hardik Pandya and star batsman Virat Kohli were not part of the initial contingent. They are expected to join the team later. Head coach Rahul Dravid and the rest of the support staff also arrived in New York.

Jadeja-Suryakumar also in the first batch

In addition to captain Rohit, the first batch also included fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Suryakumar Yadav, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, all-rounders Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel.
